House was very clean, very much appreciated! Enjoyed morning coffee on the top porch, the pool and the beach in the neighborhood and of course, the ocean. Restaurant schedules were a bit dicey and hard to follow, a disappointment. You really should clarify your pet policy. The house was advertised as pet friendly but the lease stated no pets. Very confusing.

Our home was the perfect getaway! My family has been visiting the Outer Banks for over 20 years, and this home was hands down in the top two homes we have rented this far. Everything was clean, and the house had a wonderful set up. Carolina Shores was awesome and extremely patient (especially when an unexpected sickness occured the morning of checkout, causing us to be a little behind.) I would 100 % reccommend this home AND Carolina Shores to anyone inquiring about the Outer Banks.

Sound of the Sea is a beautiful home and Carolina Shores has a nice, professional staff. I am accustomed to getting more information from rental agencies (trash pick-up days, wi-fi information), but we did okay with it all.

The neighborhood was quiet and well maintained. It would have been nice to have a more direct access to the sound and harbor area. You either had to cut through another property (a neighbor graciously let us use their walkway) or walk 1/4 mile each way. Property management was very helpful and kind, letting us in the house well before check in time.

We thought we would be able to see the Sound - We couldn't see anything other than other houses. The driveway was really steep. The house was really nice. Location not so much!

We had a great time visiting the Outer Banks! The house laid out perfectly for our family of 5 and 2 small dogs. The house was very clean and well kept. The community pool was a plus for our family as well. Plan on about a 10 minute drive to the beach which was not bad at all. We hope to return again soon!

I liked the fact the house was dog friendly. The house need a serious updating of furniture and bedding. For the most part the house was clean but the carpet needed a good cleaning. Overall it was an OK, but not for the amount of money I paid.

Very nice property located away from the all the activity but close enough to everything including beach access. Colington Harbor is a great place to stay with a nice soundside beach and pool. We had an issue with the fridge and the property management company addressed it quickly so we would recommend staying at this property.

It was nice that it was in a gated community. Gated community was large, so it was hard finding your way around. However, the pace itself was very nice and well kept.

The interior of the home was as described. The location was not what we had hoped. There was no 'waterview' and the houses are extremely crowded and some neighboring yards were slightly unmanaged. It is a spacious home.

House was plenty roomy, nice porch. There was little to no kitchen provisions (salt, paper towels, tin foil, etc.). It was unfortunate that the weather was lousy so the constant trips into town was a pain. Was not able to ride bikes outside the community. Very professional staff at CSVR.

We truly enjoyed our stay! The location was amazing for small children. We loved the pool and sound front beach access with the park right behind it. Due to the amenities, we were able to sit back and relax as our young children played, making for an enjoyable vacation for everyone. The only downfall was that the house made us all a bit congested. We do have minor allergies, so I think that the lingering dander from the past animals may have affected us. I suppose this is to be expected from a pet friendly house though :) Overall, we had a WONDERFUL time! The rental company was very kind and helpful.
