The condo was very clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils. It was a wonderful stay. Did not want to leave! The only thing that would have made it perfect was being directly on the beach.

The condo has a good location in Kill Devil Hills. There is no place to put pantry food (cabinets). All cabinets are used for dishes. The condo is very clean, but the furniture/decor is outdated. This is not an issue but rather an observation. It is as seen in photos. The walk to the beach is easy. Still not sure where the kiddie pool is on the premise, but the 2 community pools are very nice.

We had a great time in this comfy condo. Perfect for a couple and their furry companion! The condo had all the kitchen & bath essentials, TV & WiFi.close to the beach & shopping. Pool was quite nice also. With the perfect weather we had, it couldn’t have been nicer.

I stayed here the very last week of August with my husband. Bourny's Place was a great rental property for us. The place is small but it had everything that we needed. The property was about a 10 minute walk from public beach access and it was very close to restaurants and shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The condo was very nice and clean. It is a short walk to the beach and dining.<br/>The pool is just across the parking lot which was very convenient although the view for your deck is the parking lot. I would recommend this condo but check in was a bit stressful because everyone had to wait until exactly 4:00 which created a line of anxious vacationers.

What you see is what you get with this rental. It was a wonderfully located, clean, nice little place with some decent community amenities. You can see in the pictures that some of the appliances and furniture are a little dated, but everything still works appropriately. Great location as many good to great restaurants are within walking distance. Community pool is handy for days you do not feel like going down to the beach. This property would be absolutely perfect with a just a few updates. Could also benefit if the community had a joint laundry area. Any complaints I have are admittedly picky, and I really enjoyed my stay and would absolutely come back again.

We had a lovely time at this lovely condo. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The walk to the beach was about 4 minutes with public access, and the pools were about 40 seconds. We (Me!) somehow messed up, and didn't realize we had to supply our own sheets and towels, but Walmart took care of that. The only complaint is that the listing said there was a phone. Well, there was, but no dial tone. Over-all, we visited everything we could and had a lovely vacation! I would recommend this condo for a couple, but it is too small for 4 people.

We have stayed at these little condos before. So we love this location, its a short little walk to the beach and it has a nice pool. This rental unit in my opinion is a little outdated, and needs another sofa in the living room. I was a little displeased to find some hair in the bathroom where someone didnt thoroughly clean, however overall the unit was a clean and neat and orderly unit. I wouldn't mind staying here again if they would update a little bit, mainly the bathroom, Im not a huge tile with mold fan! Other than that I liked this unit and the location. As far as renting the place from Carolina Shores, I am a little displeased with how they put so much pressure on you, One for instance, they want you to check the place for anything that may be broken or messed up upon arrival, they practically want you to clean the place upon departure. And a few other things listed in the lease. Also I do believe that this unit is way over priced.

Great location, perfect for my family of three. Very clean and modern. Only had one issue. Would have liked two sets of bath towels included in agreement. Our family stayed for seven days. Took them to a local laudramat. Pool was nice on those hot days. Ample parking. Had a great vacation.

We have usually enjoyed the slow pace of the northern part of the island, but with a teenager it was convenient to be closer to more activities. The condo was well stocked with everything you might need.

This rental was perfect for my boyfriend and I. It was very clean, and had many things that you may need, especially the kitchen! The pool was very close, and they have two, which was very nice if kids were playing in one you could go to the other. The people above us were a little loud at times, but tolerable. I would certainly recommend this place!

property was VERY clean, nice size for a couple, one block from beach, nice pool. Wasn't impressed by the cats lurking around the property which resulted in the unit smelling. No washer/dryer in unit or onsite, must drive to laundry mat.

Family of 3 with a 3 year old. I was very happy with the cleanliness of Bourny's Place and their kitchen was well stocked. Would have been nice to have one more frying pan (though there were TONS of pots) and wifi, but we made it okay. It's a small space and our daughter slept on the floor next to the bed even though there is a pull out couch in the living room. The walk to the beach isn't bad, but the hotel across the street has signs that says NO PUBLIC ACCESS or SHORTCUTS. We felt kind of bad cutting through their property each day, but the longer walk to the public access was just too far for our little one. Figured they would see our sun drenched, water logged, tired child walking her way back to the condo through their parking lot and have mercy on us. And they did! Old location of Carolina Shores place was hard to see and we drove past and turned around several times before we found it. New location where we dropped off our packet was really easy to find though.

We were very happy with our cozy condo. It was the smallest beach rental we have ever stayed in, but in our current financial state, it was totally awesome and it worked well for us. Just wish it had a washer and dryer, but again, we made it work. You can put up with anything for a week..and we were in the OBX so no complaints there.

After falling in love with the Outer Banks in 2012 we decided to come back - only this time for a bit longer. So we rented an apartment for a week. The apartment was clean, had lots of space for all 3 of us and was close to the ocean. The pool was also a highlight for our son. We really hope to come back soon.

Location is amazing considering the beach rental store, for us bikers who travel light, and two of the best restaurants at walking distance. Not to mention the easy access to the beach! The dead end streets is also great to keep the motorcycle away from general view and quietness of the place. The pool is so refreshing after a hot day at the beach...Only super positive comments and memories! Thanks for making this beautiful vacation a success!!<br/>Mel and Luc

This was our 1st stay in the Outer Banks and I have to say I was very impressed with Bourny's Place. The location to the beach was great...the only downside was there was no washer/dryer and the closest one was in Manteo.
