On the outside of the 2nd floor you find the open air screen canalfront deck with extraordinary views of water, wetlands, & wildlife. Watch the activity of the canal while enjoying morning coffee or an evening glass of wine on this delightful furnished deck. Inside a comfortable well-furnished living area awaits you with two futons, large screen TV that opens to the fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar that can serve seafood and steaks at the water view dining area.
The 2nd level also has three bedrooms: 1st master suite with a King bed and HDTV, 2nd Queen bedroom and 3rd Double and twin bedroom. A full hall bathroom is also available.

Getting to the beach is easy and only a short 10-minute drive to a beach access with Parking, bathhouse and guarded beach in season, located at the end of E.Ocean Bay Blvd. You will find Numerous restaurants, grocery stores, & shopping centers close by.

Spectacular community amenities including: a huge sound side park with sandy beaches, a playground, and sheltered picnic areas, a basketball court, as well as a boat launch and boat slips for rent. Also the Yacht and Racket Club, which allows use of the two outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, and community clubhouse.

We truly enjoyed our stay in Salty Shenigans, albeit too brief thanks to Florence! The home is beautiful inside and out, and stocked with everything you could need. The only suggestions I could offer would be to install some pathway lighting, the side of the house is very dark when returning after dark and pathway lights would be a huge help. And the living room sofas while beautiful are terribly uncomfortable for relaxing after a long day. Neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, not too far from the center of everything. We are already planning a return trip, hopefully without a hurricane next time.

Overall, we were pleased with this rental home. We thoroughly enjoyed staying right on the sound and loved having our own dock for fishing and catching crabs all week. This area was perfect for us because we visited the surrounding towns including Duck (25 mins), Corolla (1 hr), and Nags Head (10 mins). We cooked in about every night which worked out great in the beautiful spacious kitchen which had a huge selection of pots and pans. However, there were quite a few downfalls I’d have to say about this home too. The basement had a musky odor, the rugs still had white dog hair all over them (one even smelled like pee), and there are a few repairs needing to be made to this home as well. We had a repairman to come take a look at a few areas of the home including the dryer not being connected to the dryer vent hose, a possible leak in the garage (water was dripping from the ceiling and was causing the ceiling to bubble), the sink continued to stop up, and the tile in one of the bathrooms is broken as well.
