What do you charge for your services?

Carolina Shores Vacation Rentals has been designed with the homeowner's interest in mind. For this reason our fee is simply $150.00 per booking plus the cost of cleaning.

What is included with your fee?

Your management fee includes weekly cleaning after each paid guest, cleaning inspection, security inspection, marketing, standard listing in our full color catalog, seven day a week complete customer service, a welcome gift for each paid in full guest and a $5.00 donation to the American Cancer Society.

How do you protect our home from Tenant damages?

Each Tenant is advised, in their lease, of what they will be held accountable for. Tenants have the option of paying a cash security deposit (amount approved by you) or purchasing the Security Deposit Protection Plan offered through our partnership with Generali CSA Insurance. The insurance plan covers accidental damages up to $3,000.00. Other plans typically cover only $1,500.00. Carolina Shores Vacation Rentals works with you to develop a weekly security check list, used by our inspectors, to insure any damages are addressed no later than check-out.

How will you market our home?

Carolina Shores Vacation Rentals aggressively markets your home by utilizing a variety of proven techniques. Along with our state of the art website, we list your property on numerous other popular sites to generate maximum exposure. We also use a combination of print media, including our catalog, and broadcast media. Our involvement in national and community events keeps our name in the front of the pack.

May I utilize the services of my own maintenance specialist and private cleaner?

Absolutely! If you have a preferred maintenance technician(s) we will gladly contact them for any repairs required. A private cleaner, employed by you, would reduce your management fee to only $150.00 per confirmed booking.

Are there any restrictions on my personal use of the property? May my relatives and friends also have use?

Carolina Shores Vacation Rentals realizes how excited you are about owning a vacation home and will gladly assist you. There are NO restrictions on the number of in-season weeks you wish to use or devote to family or friends. While other companies charge you for this, Carolina Shores welcomes you to the Outer Banks. Simply have the time blocked off your rental calendar and let us know if you would like us to arrange cleaning. If you do require cleaning, after your stay, a cleaning fee will be charged to your account.

Our management team feels the homeowner continues to be nickeled and dimed by our competitors. These competitors have lost touch with the needs of the homeowner while at the same time lining their pockets with excessive fees. Carolina Shores Vacation Rentals works for YOU! We don’t get paid unless you do. There are no up-front marketing fees, catalog fees, or listing fees.
