The 13th Annual Scallywag 5/10k and 9th Annual Blackbeard's 1/2 Marathon races will be held Saturday, April 27th and Sunday, April 28th benefitting the Ocracoke Community Radio, the Ocracoke School Athletic Boosters Club, and the Ocracoke Community Park.
Join us on Ocracoke Island and see what sets this community apart from the rest. Boasting only family-owned and operated businesses and restaurants, you'll experience something truly unique. We recommend traveling by bike, golf cart or simply walking so you can truly immerse yourself in the pristine views and landscape. With most of the island consisting of Cape Hatteras National Seashore, there are no beachfront condos here, only miles of wide-open shoreline excellent for shelling and exploring. The Scallywag and Blackbeard races offer a great experience to add to your vacation, and we hope to see you there! *Prizes will be awarded to the top three overall best male and female runners, as well as the top three male and female finishers in each group.
